Registration Details

The registration fee for 2024 calendar year and is set at $240. All registrations are completed online at http://www.scouts.ca/join/.    Youth can join or renew at any time.

Registration opens mid-August for existing members and will cover the entire 2024 calendar year.  Registering early is the only way to guarantee a spot come January 2024, especially if we get an influx of new youth joining.

The beginning of September will have registration open for new or returning members.  Your registration fee covers the remainder of 2023 and the full 2024 year to December 31 2024.

Scouts Canada receives $230 of the fee, with $10 going to 8th Orleans.  National has extended a Group payment option of $15 for 2023.  The result, each $240 fee will result in 8th Orleans receiving $25 to help us to continue to grow our membership by purchasing new equipment, maintaining existing gear and cover Scouter training.

Registration is available any time on-line at www.scouts.ca.

Steps for on-line registration:

• Visit http://www.scouts.ca/join/. 

• Enter your postal code

• Choose the age group for your youth and the nights you want to search

• Click "Find Groups" and select the closest 8th Orleans meeting location and meeting night which best suits your family schedule.

• If your desired day / Section is not available at 8th Orleans, please check availability with 4th Orleans, 14th Gloucester, or 1st Blackburn.  They are all in the Orleans area and provide excellent Scouting Programs.

We are always looking for new Scouters to train and mentor.  Ideally, we'd like to have 5 or 6 Scouters for each Section so we can cover ratio, have part-time Scouters or if Scouters are unable to attend.  Contact our Group Commissioner, commissioner@8thOrleans.ca, to get more information.
